Question #1:
Help! How long will it be until I see weight loss?
I'm 20 years old, female, 5'8" at 136lbs (last weighed myself ~3 1/2 weeks ago). I'm trying to get down to 126lbs. For 3 weeks now, I've been doing 30-45min of moderate/intense cardio 4x a week, and 20min of pilates 4x a week. I've also been on a 1,200 calorie diet.It seemed like I was losing weight because my chest bones were showing more and so was my spine but when I look at myself, I still see some stomach fat, and some thigh fat. Yesterday, someone who hadn't seen me in about two months asked me if I'd lost weight because I looked skinnier but I honestly don't see it. I want to be and look 126lbs, I want to be skinny. When will I start to see the difference? When I'm actually 126? Don't plan on weighing myself again until February 16th.
Question #2:
weight loss tips! ! 10 points?
weight loss tips, effective tips to help lose weight fast PLEASE, 10 points ;) xQuestion #3:
I think my mom is depressed?
First of all she cries over the slightest things. If I don't do a good job cleaning she gets mad and walks into her room crying. She's always getting weight loss books even though she is no where NEAR overweight. I'm sick and tired of it. She's always yelling at my dad (sometimes she has good reason to), shes always yelling at my siblings and I, and most of alll she's always crying.Question #4:
Why do people pretend you need to exercise to lose weight?
Exercise is not in any way necessary for weight loss. All you need to do to lose weight is reduce the amount you eat. Losing weight is about using more energy than you consume in food, thus it is entirely possible to lose weight by simply reducing energy intake (i.e. eating less).Sure, exercise is necessary to become healthy, but being healthy and losing weight is not the same.

I am petrified that I will have saggy skin as a result of such a large amount of weight lost. I turned 18 a few months ago. What is the chance of this happening? It really makes me sick with worry.

obese partner wont listen to me?
my partner has just been found obese.. Im studying nutrition and currently 38 weeks pregnant.. Hes 30 and im 23, he wont listen to me with what foods he should be eating, how to count calories and how to exercise correctly... He says "when he was younger he used to not eat, then he used to lose weight".. Er yeah hes not 17 anymore, ive been telling him his metabolism is different to what it was even 1 year ago let alone 13 years ago!! he doesnt believe a word i say because technically im not a 'certified nutritionist'The problem with this "magical weight loss regime" he has, is that he wont eat, gets hungry, then eats ALOT of junk like 3 plate fulls on food... I try to make food for him, he wont eat it, he doesnt like it, i try to make foods he does like and he will eat it but then add extra 2 lebanese breads, pickles, a can of baked beans etc.. Like he has a big stomach and i just dont know what else to do!!! He wont listen to me because hes 'older', he wont eat the foods i make, or he will add extra foods!!
How can i help him stay healthy and fit!! Btw i ask him to come with walks with me, im 38 weeks and i cant go anymore due to my constant swollen legs and he doesnt want to on his own, he used to be really fit back in the day but he doesnt understand his body is not the same as it used to be.. Please help me, i love the sucker to death but hes so stubborn lol!! I dont know what else to do!!

I changed my diet and lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks, i don't know how, could i be sick?
Starting a couplse weeks ago, i stopped eating ice cream everyday and starting eat salads once or twice a day and drinking diet soda. Question #18:
Should I clean myself out using magnesium citrate? Not using the bathroom right after a week-long binge..?
Answer QUICKLY! I need to know within a few hours, please. I will vote for the answer that is most helpful to me.BEFORE ANSWERING: I do not have bulimia. I have something totally different. Really bad pain from bloating and not using the bathroom. I am not doing this for weight loss. I am doing this so that I can stop hurting. So please do not lecture me on how I shouldn't do this for losing weight and how it is completely the wrong way to lose weight. I already know all of this. I have suffered from bulimia and anorexia in the past as a child. So I have outgrown that. Yeah, I still feel fat. But I am. Because I let myself gain a lot of weight. But my dieting was working just fine until I ate like crap this week. However, I am now unable to use the bathroom and it is causing severe pain as if I am backed up completely. I can just get back to my normal diet after doing this, which is listed below. I don't think I'm going to be eating like this again because of this pain. I feel so scared from this pain. So it's not worth eating junk food if I have to feel this damn bad. So, yeah, no lecturing and serious answers only. Thanks.
I was doing well with weight loss, lost 30+ pounds since November. But within the past week, I have had an absolutely horrible binge filled with things like red meat, Chinese food and soda. I know, that is NOT how I should eat. Prior to this, I would eat fiber cereals with low fat or fat free milk, canned vegetables, fruits and soups and protein shakes. I would drink ONLY water.
I have gained three pounds and I am in a world of pain. My stomach is HORRIBLY bloated. I mean, it's like disgustingly bloated. It's incredibly painful. It hurts me to move or to even touch my stomach. I have used the bathroom since the binge, however, I don't think it was enough. I feel like I am impacted or something, like maybe it is backing up to my stomach. This feeling is so bad that I have been extremely nauseous all day today. It hurts.
I tried a senna laxative yesterday because I figured it would be less harmful than magnesium citrate. It only made me go a little bit. I feel like my stomach is going to split open. Seriously. VERY painful.
So what should I do? Should I take the magnesium citrate to clean myself out?
I know that you do get very dehydrated on magnesium citrate. I am fully prepared to drink a whole lot of water until it all passes. I am going to drink the full 10 fluid ounce bottle.
I am asking about this because before, this was the only way to fix me if I became impacted from eating bad. I'm just scared of the stuff because it makes you go so much and you have to drink so much water.
So should I do it? I would much rather go through that then this horrible pain I'm in. I am almost certain that the three pounds I have gained is impacted food and water retention from eating bad. I do plan on eating better tomorrow and from now on. This pain is some of the worst pain ever. Can't even get up or even think about eating when my stomach feels like rupturing from not using the bathroom right over all the junk food I ate recently.
Thank you for reading and thank you for all answers. I am sorry that this may have been a bit graphic.
Question #19:
If high blood sugar makes you prone to weight gain, does low blood sugar...?
Make you prone to weight loss?@ Cindy - thanks, but when you say "the more protein the more fat burned", are you sure this is true? I understood that protein had some insulin response, whilst fat has none, so fat is better for blood-sugar / weight control than protein..... Also, the body can turn up to 58% of protein into glucose, while it can only turn a maximum of 10% of fat.... so isn't fat the optimum food, not protein?
Question #20:
